Volunteer Code of Conduct

As a volunteer for the 2010 Commonwealth Fencing Championships (CFC10) I agree that, at all times, I shall observe the Code of Conduct and that I will:  

• work for CFC10 in a volunteer capacity without financial payment or incentive;
• abide by the Fencing Victoria General Code of Behaviour;
• abide by the policies and procedures of CFC10;
• attend volunteer training sessions as required by CFC10;
• attend all volunteer shifts as allocated by CFC10, and inform the CFC10 Administration Director as soon as possible if I am unavailable due to illness or extreme circumstances;
• represent CFC10 in a professional and courteous manner at all times;
• undertake my tasks and duties as outlined to me, and follow the directions of the CFC10 Organising Committee;
• wear the CFC10 uniform (including accreditation pass and lanyard) provided to me at all times while on duty in a neat and presentable manner;
• advise CFC10 of any situation that is unsafe or not satisfactory, or any tasks that I feel I am unable or uncomfortable undertaking as part of my duties.

In return, I understand that CFC10 shall use all reasonable endeavours to provide:

• a safe and enjoyable environment in which to perform my tasks and duties;
• training and supervision to enable me to carry out my duties as a CFC10 Volunteer; and
• recognition of my status as a volunteer, including benefits such as meals and uniforms and rest periods depending on the nature of my volunteer role. 

I understand that I must check the box on the Volunteer Registration form to confirm my acceptance of these conditions.
